Our world.

It's been more than a year I suppose since I've been bit by the bug of international chat, the fascination of the world beyond and of the people beyond. I have had many an interesting encounter in this little initiative. It was an extremely interesting and exciting journey knowing how people around the world are different and yet so similar. This may seem a bit childish for someone who has travelled and has international friends. But I am among the majority in India who hardly ever see a non Indian in real life let alone know one. Meeting people from around the world was an interesting mix of similarities in thinking and living to dissimilarities that glared back. I could go on about this but the real subject of the post is something else. It is something the struck me recently, while talking to someone perhaps. It was the realization of the dimensions of my world. The title as well as the post doesn't talk about the whole wide world as we know it. It is about our...

News Broadcast

Yeah...I want to write something, cant think of any of the brilliant ideas or Eureka discoveries that pay my mind a visit from time to time. So I'll just blabber on about my life as usual... I got real serious about doing something fun these few days that I've got as I mentioned in the last post. It's kinda funny coz after a few days, the fact that I wanted to do something fun started stressing me out. But past that stage now. Have got a few things done..and am content. I painted Sophie, my pet dog, as in I painted a portrait of her (hah equi? ;)) I liked it...got nice comments. Maybe I'll put it up here. Like I said in the last post, went to that friend of mine and worked on 3 songs. Didn't complete any and had a few problems with him but overall I am more that satisfied with the work done. Some beautiful tunes..it was such learning experience. I learnt, that I am not that bad. I can do something. I learnt one good thing about my music was that it wasn't rest...

Back again!

Aaaaahhh....and I come again. Trying to rediscover my liking for writing yet again... Haven't seen blogger for about 4 months now. Haven't been able to visit all of those great blogs I used to. But I return. Worse than ever! :D Ok so, I gave the exams I was trying to since a looong time. Finally feeling so relieved. There are so many things to do that keep popping into your head when you need to study. And when you talking about my head..I am sure it's more than the average (refer to the Blog title). And everytime I got this great idea, I put it on hold thinking I would work on it as soon as I get this exam over with. Hehehe...I am free now. Nothing to do for the whole damn day. And I can't remember one bloody good thing to do! So the initial relief, sense of freedom and the anticipation for something exciting is slowly turning to boredom, a struggle to think of something exciting and more boredom. Add to it the fact that most of the 'friends' are busy and n...

Sport. An instrument of passion. An instrument that can bring people with any amount of differences. There is a certain magic. A certain 'high' it delivers that is not easily found. Ask a passionate supporter what it feels to be watching his team playing beautiful and effective sport, or just rather watch him while he is at it, and you will know what I am talking about. There can be many theories about what exactly is it that binds so many people together not just with each other but also with the players out there. But it just cannot be explained by a particulr reason. It's a whole bag of things sport and the sportspersons who play it bring to the life of the common man that makes it special. He doesn't have to know the skills of the game. He doesn't have to know the correct technique or tactics. It's an identity the fan imbibes,...of the player, of being part of the team, of being part of a fraternity far greater than himself, of geniuses, of warriors and of h...

A part of history...

It is a historic day today. And so I post. Yes, I have to admit I have been pretty interested in the Presidential race in the US this year as I am sure are millions across the globe. It's very rare that some one could take the whole world by storm in a way Sen.(at the time of going to post) Obama has. Deserving or undeserving, that man has to be given some credit. And that's one of the reasons I am interested in the Elections. Not only is he half african american, he hasn't even lived his whole life in the US. His father wasn't even an American citizen. It's credit not only to him but the American people for their liberal view that they can take a man on his merit and not his background and put him in the running for the highest office in the country...and also thus the world. Now this isn't in anyway an endorsement for Obama. I am sure it's too late for that anyway. It is an endorsement for modern thinking. Yes that's what comes to mind when I hear hi...
