Sport. An instrument of passion. An instrument that can bring people with any amount of differences. There is a certain magic. A certain 'high' it delivers that is not easily found. Ask a passionate supporter what it feels to be watching his team playing beautiful and effective sport, or just rather watch him while he is at it, and you will know what I am talking about. There can be many theories about what exactly is it that binds so many people together not just with each other but also with the players out there. But it just cannot be explained by a particulr reason. It's a whole bag of things sport and the sportspersons who play it bring to the life of the common man that makes it special. He doesn't have to know the skills of the game. He doesn't have to know the correct technique or tactics. It's an identity the fan imbibes,...of the player, of being part of the team, of being part of a fraternity far greater than himself, of geniuses, of warriors and of h...

A part of history...

It is a historic day today. And so I post. Yes, I have to admit I have been pretty interested in the Presidential race in the US this year as I am sure are millions across the globe. It's very rare that some one could take the whole world by storm in a way Sen.(at the time of going to post) Obama has. Deserving or undeserving, that man has to be given some credit. And that's one of the reasons I am interested in the Elections. Not only is he half african american, he hasn't even lived his whole life in the US. His father wasn't even an American citizen. It's credit not only to him but the American people for their liberal view that they can take a man on his merit and not his background and put him in the running for the highest office in the country...and also thus the world. Now this isn't in anyway an endorsement for Obama. I am sure it's too late for that anyway. It is an endorsement for modern thinking. Yes that's what comes to mind when I hear hi...

Tag Whoer

Adi, sorry for the late tag...here it goes.. My oldest memory: Hmmmmm...Lemme see...lemme see... Well the oldest memories I have are all sort of in pieces..like recognising pictures of animals from a book, being scared of school starting soon, playing with my friend on a tri-cycle...hehe I don have one where I was recording nursery rhymes in a cassette with Mom. * Big Grin* Ten Years Ago: I would not like to answer this question. My first thought this morning: Ohhh!! Who's calling me??!! (on the phone) If you built a time capsule, what would it contain? Electric circuits I presume....Oh you mean 'carry with me?' Ok. I have always had this recurring thought of taking the best inventions and the 'how to make them' books and become a famous inventor in the past!! Come on. Don't judge me now..;P. This year 14 years from now. Well this does sound strange. Read it again. This 'year' after 14 years??? I guess they meant 'day'..ok..I guess I would be thi...

Drop the 'I' in Fight.

Fights. Anger. Hatred. Common words. Common occurrences. Inevitable........or are they? I don't think so. I am not a saint. But I think I can avoid getting all angry most of the times. I believe anyone can. It's just a matter of a bit of patience. Some empathy. And some plain common sense. I had earlier posted about Power-Struggle as being one of the reasons for fights.Today I would talk about another common tendency. The quintessential I. I is everything. We grow up thinking about the world with regards to us. We like, dislike, learn and and even judge the whole world around us with us as the centre of everything. All this is fine but things start going wrong when the I begins getting bigger than it should. Self Confidence borders Over Confidence. Self Respect borders Huge Ego. When somehow everything that you say inevitably seems right and if it isn't no one else except yourself are able to detect it. This may sound funny but I believe not only do such freaks exist they ...

Statutory Warning:Tags Ahead. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Alright, this is officially the longest title of all my posts. Yaay!!....Think you have longer??? ;) :D Ok here's the deal...find out which is the longest title you have come up with...not really a tag. unless you wanna take it as one...:P. So the first tag comes to us from Equi .Here it goes.. Aw crap, your iPod’s jammed on one song! And you won’t be able to get it fixed for a week! What song do you hope to christ it’s stuck on? Well, right now it would be The Reason by Hoobastank. You learn that your new cable package has the Anytime Movie Channel! Which movie do you immediately flick to? 'Jo jeeta wohi sikandar' :-))) You walk in the front door and smell dinner cooking! What makes you go, “Oooh, I like that!”? Are the above two sentences related? ;P...Ok sorry..Just trying to wake myself up. It would be Masale-Bhaat..(Was tempted to write everything Mom cooks...:)) What’s your favourite season? Wow....I think the one who thought of this question deserves a Nobel Prize......

Crossroads

Here I am. At probably the biggest crossroad of my life...yet. I got into Medicine. And passed out without much worries or anything. It was cool. It was college. There were sports. There were Dance shows. There was college politics. There were friends and foes. There were teachers. There were exams. And all that Jazz. That's all life really was. I didn't really ever do anything extra ordinary. But still, with that security of a life around me, I could see the world. I could still sit and observe. I could ponder and analyse. I could comment and learn. I could do any damn thing I wanted to. I started this blog. Have written more than 100 posts in college itself about a range of topics. I talked about philosophical thoughts, current affairs, big issues and mostly about me. My life. My feelings. And I did pretty well. Wouldn't say I came up with posts very easily. There were many many times when I couldn't. But there were many times when a lot of things popped up in my head...
